Coping strategies and locus of control in childhood leukemia: a multi-center research

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a very distressing experience for children and requires a special effort of adjustment. Therefore, it seems to be crucial to explore coping resources for the experienced risk condition. In this sense, the study focuses on coping strategies and locus of control in children with ALL during the treatment phase, and on their possible relation. The correlation between children and maternal coping strategies is also investigated. This study was conducted in order to verify the role of social support and coping strategies as moderators of the relationship between perceived stress and the subjective well-being of transgender people, which is lower than cisgenders’ people. 355 people took part in this study (124 transgender people and 231 cisgender people) between age of 18 and 53. Šī pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīga saistība starp pašcieņu un stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju izvēli. Pētījumā kopumā piedalījās 62 respondenti, vecumā no 19 – 45 gadiem (M = 24,29; SD = 5,22). Based on an ecological perspective on the COVID-19 lockdown experience, this study describes psychological responses among Italian university students. Our study considers three zones of the country that have differed in the intensity of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, this research explores whether differences in pandemic conditions can account for their divergent psychological outcomes.
